I have just recently returned from Lybster (in Caithness, Scotland) where I spent a week painting the Scottish landscape. It was an utterly new experience and a really thrilling one. I loved working outdoors, in the fresh air. The weather was glorious and the place itself had a very peaceful, quiet quality that I enjoyed trying to capture in oil paint.
